Afortek representatives attended BioEnergy conference in Augsburg, Germany.
While attending the conference presentations by government and research institute officials and private industry it became clear, that they did their homework. Research institutions explore the basics, forms and processes of extraction of energy from biomass, then the others – number crunchers are proving the viability and the industry together with the landowners deliver the solutions: The independence on the imported fossil fuels by providing cost efficient renewable energy alternatives.
The trade show of the bioenergy event was impressive show of the equipment for harvesting the biomass, processing it to the form needed for automatic feed into the many different types of boilers and heaters, proven tested and commercially available.
Solar thermo systems, heat pumps and family house size “CHP” (combined heat and power) units were shown and available to purchase.
Our spirit and enthusiasm was again positively charged to work in our Canadian conditions rich in biomass and poor on government support, in comparison to Germany.
After the BioEnergy conference, Afortek reps went for search of latest design efficient European heating radiators to compliment their solar thermo and pellet boiler systems for people retrofitting their houses for the mentioned systems instead of floor heating.
